Design and curatorship of the Spain pavilion ‘Life Experts’
This November we will be at two of the most important design fairs: Interihotel and Downtown Design Dubai. Stone Designs will be present in a significant way and in collaboration with ICEX Spain Exports and Investments and the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Dubai, organizes for the first time, a space “Spain” in the fair Downtown Design 2019, between 12 to 15 November.
Spanish Pavilion at Downtown Design curated by Stone Designs
Seven Spanish companies specialising in the habitat and design sector will take part in the Spanish pavilion, designed and curated by our studio Stone Designs. Under the title “Life Experts“, stand D09 will reflect how spanish people are experts in living. A space where we have had the opportunity to participate, being the ones in charge of designing the stands where the different brands ‘made in Spain‘ will be displayed.
‘Life Experts’ has been born to become a reference for Spanish interior design products worldwide. The best Spanish brands in the sector will be showing Spain’s pleasant lifestyle through each one of their pieces.
Our love of life translates into authentic design products. We want to show how we are envied around the world for precisely these values. People in Spain know how to live and live well, without too many things, but enjoying every minute with friends and family.
Cutu Mazuelos, co-founder of Stone Designs, will explain the motto of Espacio España, Life Experts. “It’s very simple, Spanish people are experts in living, comfort and everything related to what is good in life. Spanish people know how to live, and they do it just right. So we’ve designed some displays that you can play with and rotate“. Spanish designers take a step further: They bring their love for life itself to their products.
Deployment of creativity and talent of Spanish companies in Downtown Design
A table football and a billiard table attract the curiosity of visitors attending the fair. Both are exhibited in the space where Spain participates for the first time as a country in this showcase of international design, the most important in the Middle East.
An open space shared by companies where we want to transmit “the spirit of sharing of the spanish people“. A contagious joy. Hence the chosen formula of a “living space” that facilitates the interaction of everyone, exhibitors and visitors.
As a parallel event to the fair, on Wednesday 13 November a ‘Spanish Design Lunch‘ will take place in Cosentino’s showroom with an invitation to press, designers, architects and design professionals. In addition, Cutu Mazuelos will participate in a conference and panel of experts sharing their experiences of how to create a brand.
Downtown Design Dubai is an event for habitat design companies within the Dubai Design Week and the emblematic d3 (Dubai Design District). The fair has been going on for seven years and has become a key meeting point for Middle Eastern architects, interior designers and property developers looking for high-end design products. In 2018 the event was attended by 175 exhibitors from 30 countries.
Life experts do nothing but live life to the fullest. You will find us at booth D09, but if you can’t attend, follow us on our social networks to have more info about our participation and design of the Spain pavilion at Dubai Downtown Design:

We are loyal to the most important Scandinavian Design event of the year. Once again, we go back to the Stockholm Furniture Fair to present some of our latest designs for the Swedish brands Glimakra and Abstracta, two cutting-edge companies in the acoustic furniture sector. For both of them we have designed pieces with sound […]
Orbis will open two own hotels in Krakow and Warsaw under the new brand TRIBE! and, for this, they have relied on our international design studio Stone Designs.
This year the entire Stone Designs team was lucky enough to travel to Japan. We have worked so hard over the last few months that the studio’s “parents”, Cutu Mazuelos and Eva Prego, invited this great family to spend a few days and visit Japan.
