InteriHotel Barcelona 2019: interior design for hotels
This November, our co-founder Eva Prego will participate in a new edition of InteriHotel 2019 (Barcelona), a benchmark in Spain and Southern Europe on hotel interior design. During the next 20th, 21st and 22nd of November, in addition to the exhibition area, where everything breathes design and interior design, InteriHotel will offer high value content for attendees. The event combines specialized lectures and conferences where Stone Designs will be present, networking spaces, innovation awards and a showroom, common areas and other products for interior design. A must-see programme for hotel professionals who are going to carry out reforms in the short or medium term, as well as for specialist specifiers.
One hotel, two categories. How to find the balance
On Wednesday, November 20, from 14:30 to 15:30 in InteriHotel, and presented by Pilar Marcos, director of the magazine Diseño Interior, we will explain in an open space some fresh ideas of interior design projects and hospitality sector and how the different creative disciplines can help hotels to improve their business model.
Eva Prego will exhibit at the conference “One hotel, two categories. How to find the balance”, one of the latest projects of Stone Designs, Novotel & Ibis Styles Madrid City Las Ventas, a very emblematic hotel for Accor and the first case in Spain in which two brands of different category share more than 2.000 m2 of common areas. An atypical case where Stone worked from the first moment looking for the necessary balance between two concepts and two types of clients.
InteriHotel – Hotel Interior Designers
In the event space, you will be able to see the latest trends in interior design with 200 specialist brands in contract-hospitality: hotels and restaurants, as well as in the design area of hotel groups and resorts.
The agenda of conferences and discussion tables will include the design studio Stone Designs, designated as recognized professionals with an outstanding track record where we will exchange experiences. An international event with visitors from 30 countries and close to 80 speakers distributed in different sessions will present to the attendees current issues affecting the sector, success stories of hotel interior design projects as well as strategies and new business models in hospitality.

Examples Hotel Interior
In addition, the case of the 5* Jardines de Nivaria Hotel will also be mentioned. A project that breaks with everything Stone had done up to now. A real challenge where the studio had to adapt to a very marked architecture respecting deeply the DNA of the brand Adrián Hoteles. With an Art Nouveau style, the commission focused on the refurbishment of the suites, two restaurants, terraces, spa and common areas. The purpose was to create something that was between the best of the style that marked the beginning of the 20th century and the temporality demanded by a project that will not be reformed for many years.
For the new rooms and suites of the Roca Nivaria Gran Hotel we have tried to eliminate the superfluous, to give back to the rooms the light and the taste that the ocean offers, to recover the values of the island and its landscapes to show them to the guests in their best version. The materials, such as the natural oak finish that contrasts with the colours of the upholstery, have sought to transmit and demonstrate to the client that they are in a hotel in which their main concern is the quality and well-being of their visitors.
And finally, the case of El Parador Restaurant at the Sheraton La Caleta Hotel. Due to its marked architecture, we have focused our concept in restoring the dialog that should have always existed between the building and the interior of the hotel. In this line, we have a very clear concept which to sum up, is to make from the Sheraton part of the island, and at the same time, to integrate the restaurant into the complex. This way, we will achieve that everything coexists in a space full of harmony and coherence and that the Sheraton hotel gets a very strong identity.
